The Henkel Art.Award. jury did not only select a prize winner, but was actually chaired by an award winner. Prof. Ernst W. Beranek received the Adolf Loos State Prize for Design in 2003, the most important Austrian prize in the field of design. At present, Mr. Beranek manages the Studio for Industrial Design I.D.Pool, together with Harry Kubelka.
Other members of the jury include:

• Robert Punkenhofer, former Managing Director of the Austrian Design Foundation, who developed the idea for the “Mur Island“ on the occasion of the Styrian city of Graz serving as Europe’s cultural capital in 2003, and who is currently responsible for organizing Austria’s World’s Fair exhibit;

• Michael Hausenblas, responsible for coverage of the field of design on behalf of the daily newspaper Der Standard;

• Anna Daucikova, artist and vice-chancellor of the Bratislava Art Academy in Slovakia;

• Katarina Hubova, Director of the Slovakian Design Center;

• Tomislav Vignjevic, lecturer at the University of Ljubljana and University of Koper in Slovenia; and

• Sabine Schauer, Director of Corporate Communications at Henkel CEE.
