Seborin History

In 1934, Seborin was introduced as the new effective biological hair tonic that helps to keep the scalp healthy and to combat dandruff. At that time, Seborin was only available at the hairdresser's. Nowadays, Seborin can be bought at almost any retailer. The fragile, brown glass bottle has been replaced by a more functional plastic one, yet the familiar Seborin shape with the good grip has remained.

The first Seborin Anti-Dandruff Shampoo was introduced in 1970. With an advanced formula and a new packaging it was relaunched in 2005. In 1996, the Seborin product family was complemented by the Seborin Aktiv Hair Tonic. It repairs the hair with pro-vitamin B5 from the roots to the tips and stimulates the blood circulation of the scalp with ginger root extract. The tonic works prophylactically against dandruff.

Seborin has been enlarging its competence continuously. Apart from the anti-dandruff expertise, Seborin stretched its knowledge entering the anti-hair loss segment. In July 2006, the new Caffeine-Energy-Line with the Seborin Caffeine-Energy Shampoo and the Anti-Hair-Loss Energy-Tonic was launched internationally. The shampoo with a caffeine complex strengthens the hair and stimulates the hair roots. The tonic works against congenital hair loss. It activates the hair roots in which growth factors are released. After 3 months of regular use the hair loss rate is reduced.
