Pattex - a brand is born: in 1956 Pattex Contact Adhesive is launched.

1960
In the 60s Pattex becomes the brand for Power Glues. Pattex becomes the brand for Power Adhesives. At Henkel Headquarters in Duesseldorf, Germany the Pattex Glueing Production is being extended.

1973
Pattex Compact is launched - the compact multipurpose glue that does not drip.

1982
In 1982 Pattex Hot Melt is launched. The Pattex Hotmelt Gun which is filled with sticks now offers the perfect fast bonding solution for assembly and craft tasks.

1983
Launch of Pattex Cyanoacrylates and 2-C-AdhesivesPattex Cyanoacrylates - the superglue that bonds within seconds. Pattex's solution for instant glueing problems. In 1983 Pattex launches 2-Component-Adhesives.

1984
In 1984 Uwe Drews, Henkel Marketing Manager, caused a sensation in a TV commercial: glued to one wing of a double-decker plane, he flew over the South African landscape for 30 minutes. His adventurous flight included forward loopings.
