Kasper Rorsted to succeed Ulrich Lehner in 2008 Henkel sets the course for a further successful future. Ulrich Lehner (60), on reaching the Henkel-internal retirement age of 62, will resign from his office of Chairman of the Management Board in April 2008. Lehner, who - except for a short break - has been with Henkel since 1981 and held the position of Chairman of the Management Board since May 2000, will thus terminate his position in the Management Board at the 2008 Annual General Meeting as planned. The Shareholders' Committee has appointed Kasper Rorsted (44), Executive Vice President Human Resources/Purchasing/Information Technologies/Infrastructure Services since April 2005, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board effective January 1, 2007. He will be appointed Chairman following the 2008 Annual General Meeting.   more

Henkel CEE's international art prize bestowed on Czech artist The international art prize sponsored by Vienna-based Henkel Central Eastern Europe (CEE), granted this year in the field of photography, was bestowed on Soňa Goldová of the Czech Republic. A prominent jury selected the award winner from more than 370 entries submitted for this year's award from 17 countries in Central and Eastern Europe as well as Central Asia. In addition to a monetary prize amounting to 5,000- Euro, an exhibition of Ms. Goldová's works will also be organized in her homeland. The Young Artist's Prize 2006 was given to Igor Eskinja of Croatia and Gerlinde Miesenböck of Upper Austria. The works of all the nominated finalists can be viewed by the public in tresor, the exhibition space of the BA-CA Kunstforums (BA-CA Art Forum) in Vienna, from November 3, 2006 to November 11, 2006.   more
