Henkel appoints the company’s new President in Russia

Sergey Bykovskih has been appointed as President of Henkel Russia, effective January 1, 2013. He will combine President’s responsibilities with the role of General manager Beauty Care Russia & CIS. Peter Günther who previously headed the company in Russia will assume the position of General Manager Beauty Care and Laundry & Home Care, Henkel Canada until the end of January 2013.

Peter Günther started his assignment in Henkel Russia in 2005 as General Manager Laundry and Home Care. On top of this responsibility in 2007 Peter was appointed as President Henkel Russia. The company’s sales have doubled since that time surpassing  970 million Euro  last year. “I am confident that, inspired with our  new corporate strategy to further enhance our leadership in brands and technologies, and targeted to accelerate our growth and increase profitability, the new company leader and Henkel employees are capable to secure even higher achievements in Russia, demonstrating further record financial results”, – said Peter Günther.

Sergey Bykovskih  has been working with Henkel since 1994, starting his professional career in sales and international projects departments in Germany. Since 2006 Sergey has been acting as Vice-President and General Manager Beauty Care Russia and CAC region. Since 2011 his responsibility has been further extended to the whole CIS region including Ukraine. The successful business model developed by Sergey first in Russia has been consequently implemented in the CIS countries, thus leading to winning market shares and sustainable financial performance.

Sergey Bykovskih graduated in 1987 from the international branch of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University journalism faculty. In 2003 he completed EMBA program of Moscow Institute of Business Studies in the Rotterdam University.

This year in November Henkel presented company growth strategy and financial targets for 2016. Henkel Russia is one of major contributor to overall company’s results. “The new strategy is built on objective data of the company’s growth in recent years, and it focuses on the expansion of our businesses in emerging markets, including Russia, – says Sergey Bykovskih.  –  Based on our successful results in Russia we plan to further strengthen our leading positions in markets”.
