The brand Metylan was founded in Germany in 1953 as a convenient powder based wallpaper paste for professional users: Metylan Leim. Later – with the development of heavier wall coverings – ”Metylan special” was introduced. Metylan evolved into a leading International brand for wallpaper pastes – for both Craftsmen and DIY users.
Based on the two original products a range of wallpaper pastes for all kinds of wallpapers has been developed. Ever since the 70's Metylan systematically strengthened its position as innovation leader within the category.
